fancy restaurants

on saturday me, ross, aaron and brodie went to a fancy restaurant called the kitchin.

this is obvious a bad idea as you can't really let such common people as go somewhere fancy.

highlights -
Getting two pieces of bread when everyone else only got one piece.

confusing polenta and placenta, easy mistake to make and making jokes about eating baby.

eating fancy food -
i had fois gras to start with which was very nice even though i didn't know what it was at the time.
I then had hare with placenta(polenta) obviously didn't know what polenta was at the time.
then i had some plums and ice cream. i only got the plums because it makes me laugh.

they also gave us some very nice chocolates after the meal.

then was much funny stuff that happend that i don't remember now but it was funny.

my food cost £40 which isn't bad considering the fancyness of the place. although i think we bought the tone down ever so slightly.

any hoo i wish i had some work to do as that's the only reason i'm doing this

once again i have failed to do this

i though i could go it but apparently i was wrong.
it was been just under a week since i attempted to start this again and i haven't posted at all.

maybe during my 3 week holiday i will do better.

gamestation wii midnight lauch.

the Edinburgh wii launch was almost a week ago and I still have posted this. I also never got the pictures i took with ross's camera.

me and ross braved the cold Scottish weather to queue up for an hour and a half to get a wii some people before us had been since about 8 o clock.

when we arrived at about 22:20 there queue was fairly small about 30 people a mixture of preorders and chancers. but by midnight the queue length had quadrupled in size.

as you would expect there were numerous people playing ds's.

gamestation were well organized and while people queued they allocated the pre-order people numbers and the chancers letters as they were expecting an additional shipment which arrived at about 23:20 meaning there was an additional 18 consoles available on top of all the filled pre-orders.

when we got inside at midnight it was a well organized affair but absolutely packed making it very hard to move around the store.

they had kindly provided crisps and drinks for everyone upstairs while people waited for there number to be called so they could be served.

the only problems we encountered were that there were no wiimotes available until Saturday and likewise with wii play due shipment issues. strangely enough they had loads of nunchuk controllers.

the whole thing was a thoughrily pleasant experience. to top it of a bloke from radio 1 turned up and was interviewing people as the left the store.

lots and lots of contact

this is the first blog as part of my return to blogging.

today i got to play a lot of contact(DS) at work because my boss wasn't around much. i think i may write about a different thing i like about contact everyday.

other things of note. the bleach op scared me at first because it came up with a load of new footage that at first made me think there was gonna be a load more filler but then i remembered that the movie was coming out soon and the footage was from that. from what i saw the movie looks pretty good. shame we won't see it for about six months for a dvd release before we get to see it.

watched the latest day break i like the series . it gets more interesting the more it progresses. it's a shame the last five episodes may not be aired to abc's change in scheduling.

damn you americans and your crazy american tv schedules. if your gonna make a tv show then show all of it, don't show some of it them stop and rely on dvd's to show the rest. it happens with to many series and it's a really bad idea.

after a long absence i have decided to come back to the world of blogger. not that anyone cares as i doubt has read this.

but i have decided to do this to improve myself and my writing abilities or lack there of.

starting today i hope to descibe the things i watch and play so maybe one day people will pay me to do what i do for free at the moment.

i can but dream
